Abstract

Phenylketonuria could be a risk factor of ostepenia. Untreated disease results hyperphenylalaninemia and direct negative effect on bone metabolism.

On the other side phenylalanine free diet could mean absence of supply of essential amino acids and osteoprotective moleculs.
