First, it examines the connections between research and the space for dealings and experiences utilized by historians, Germanists, and Slavists to formulate their political and scholalrly views.

Subsequently, it examines the development from the point of view of contemporary methodological trends and theamtic challenges. The combination of both perspectives allows to comprehend scholarship in the selected humanities disciplines as a type of cultural, social, and political activity.
