Abstract

This anthology of the work of Emmerich Alois Hruška (1895-1957) "Woman, Whose Womb Is Draining My Brain!" is the first attempt to recall the importance of literary and art works of the almost forgotten author of poetry and prose, playwright, illustrator, scenographer, graphic artist, puppeteer, bookplate creator and bibliophile. The anthology is divided into two parts.

The first consists of Hruška''s texts (I. E.

A. Hruška on his Works, II.

From E. A.

Hruška''s Works) accompanied by his original artwork. The second part (III.

Other Authors on E. A.

Hruška) presents Hruška''s work through essays written by his artistic companions and as well as his diametric opposites. These are supplemented with essays, who focus on the historical, literary and artistic aspects of his work.
