Abstrakt
The aim of this article is to reconstruct and compare some elements of two pictures of the world which appear in the Polish and Czech mass media. The analysis is based on selected press news from Polish and Czech newspapers.
They show mutual relationship between cultural models of cognition and interpretation of facts, its role in communication and the degree of influence on the final version of the text. The article is divided into three parts.
As a basis of this division serve questions: who?, what? and how? writes in Polish newspapers about Czech Republic and in Czech newspapers about Poland.
