Abstract
First part of this article describes basics of video and audio on PC. Multimedia containers, video codecs and audio formats are mentioned.
In the second part, YouTube as a portal is analysed. The second part also consist of particular analysis of the five most important sites of YouTube - main page, video playback page, user channel page, account settings page and TestTube.
At the end of second part of this article, three main ways of downloading video from YouTube are introduced. Third and last part is dedicated to user review and experiences with YouTube.
