The paper describes analyses of proteinaceous additives in historical mortars by Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) and peptide mass mapping method by Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionisation Time-of-Flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry.
