The focus of this diploma thesis is on the Jewish mysticism in the prose of Bruno Schulz, polish writer of the interwar period. It concentrates on several selected thematic domains: previous research, the Jewish identity of B.
Schulz, the role of word and text in Schulz's works, the motif of the Book, the act of creation in relation to Jewish mystic tradition.
