Abstract
The paper tries to identify and articulate some questions concerning past development of didactics of physics (physics education research) in the Czech Republic, its current state and future trends. The questions concern for example past results in this area, its international dimensions, scope and quality of works and other aspects.
The purpose of the paper is not to provide definite and unambiguous answers but to provoke a critical reflection and a broad discussion of the whole community of people working in didactics of physics - i.e. of all of us who have at heart further development of this area.
