Jewish Studies in the Bohemian Lands: On the Czech Translation of Gunter Stemberger's Entfuehrung in die Judaistik

Abstract
The article analyzes the situation of the Jewish Studies in Bohemian Lands on the occasion of Czech translation of Guenter Stemberger's book "Introduction to Jewish Studies" (Prague: vysehrad, 2011). The author claims that the publication outputs including both original ahttps://verso.is.cuni.cz/obd3/img/stavy/oznac0.pngnd translated works are of utmost importance for the development of the discipline in Czech milieu.
At the same moment, bad quality translations or translations of low quality texts cause bigger harm than if they were published in a big language milieu.
