Abstract

This paper is aimed at using the Lawson's Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning in teaching. The test described in this article is intended mainly for use by teachers interested in determining the developmental levels of their students.

Use of the test as a source of knowledge about individual student reasoning processes can be very useful and it can help a teacher adapt course content, goals and teaching methods to develop students' potential. Example of one pair of tasks is presented in the article and the method of scoring is described.

The possibility of using the results as a source of knowledge about students' developmental levels is shown. Concrete results of testing of pupils from primary school are presented.
