Abstract
The basic requirement for quality implementation of environmental education is being in outdoor or "Schools under the open sky". We have nice examples of good practice in Czech Education (albeit rather neglected today) tradition - the tradition of nature walks.
Pupils learn dendrology (try evaluation of trees by multicriterium evaluation (landscape gardening value dendrometry's variables, tree health, social value, etc.). The walk serves as a training and educational.
It develops key competencies, environmental sensitivity and other personality traits.
