Abstract
It is the second revised and extended edition of a monograph devoted to the venerated images and sculptures in the Baroque period. The result of the research is a comprehensive view on the topic, based on the confrontation between written sources and images.
Among the fundamental contribution of this book belongs the discovery of institutionalisation of worship.
