Tectono-metamorphic history recorded in garnet porphyroblasts: insights from thermodynamic modelling and electron backscatter diffraction analysis of inclusion trails

Abstrakt

This work present new methodology to use in-situ EBSD measurements of ilmenite inclusions in garnets to obtain precise data on included planar and linear elements, i.e. to decipher 3D orientation of inclusion trails. Rotation of garnets and evolution of foliation in matrix during regional folding is discussed.
