Methods of mortality analysis focused on the oldest age-groups

Abstract

The presentation introduced the main issues from the Doctoral Thesis which is supposed to be defended in summer, 2012. The most important methods of mortality analysis were described together with some the most important results - before all it was the concept of frailty models, unobserved heterogeneity and mortality laws.
