"O tempora, o mores!" The Image of the Bohemian Monasteries in the Statutes of teh general Chapter of the Cistercian Order on the Treshold of the Hussite Revolution

Abstract

The sources shows that Bohemian monasteries were experiencing a crisis in the beginning of the 15th Century, which affected both the economic ( economic failure, indebtedness, selling of the estates) and the moral (particulary frequent escapes from the monastery) areas.
