Effect of walking intervention on body composition and aerobic fitness was evaluated in a group of healthy men of middle age. Body composition was assessed with help of whole body bioimpedance method and aerobic fitness with help of treadmill walking exercise.

Walking with energy content of 1500 kcal per week was able to significantly improve body composition and aerobic fitness parametrers.
