Forced Hypokinesia and Discomfort

Abstract

The consequence of hypokinesia is usually a deviation of human movement functions and a cause of discomfort. This discomfort is in some cases possible to quantify.

The definition of discomfort is the status of perceived unrest, inconvenience or reduction in comfort, when comfort means a state without perceived limitations or other interferences (Agnes, 2008). Thus the definition of discomfort is based on a subjectively perceived condition.

Discomfort could mean a perceived pain, but also a far lower degree of uncomfortable feelings.
