Abstract
This study focuses on the changing attitude of the Czech society and its political elites towards minorities in the era of the post-war renewal of the Czechoslovak national state and during the first decade of the Communist dictatorship. It concentrates not only on how this issue was discussed and thought about at the time, but also on what the coexistence of minorities and the majority society looked like in everyday life.
