Abstract
The text is an introductory lecture to the course Gender and Religion. It brings the concepts of religion as not necessarily gendered spiritual search, and as gendered socio-political institution.
On selected examples briefly presents the development of gender archetypes in Judaist, Hindu and Christian traditions.
