The educational project Talnet is carried out in online environment gradually developed according to needs, activities and methods of work with gifted pupils at the age of 13 - 19. The main aims of the project are identification, development and support in fulfillment of gifted pupils interested in science, mathematics and technology.
Gifted pupils are very different and similarly are different the activities adequate for their development. The contribution illustrates recent results and experience with development and use of ICT-online tools since the beginning of the project in 2003.
The focus is on tools for stimulation of online learning activities, for support of effective communications both vertical one (between a pupil and his instructor) and horizontal one (among pupils), and especially for support of online team inquiry/research activities. Our experience shows that high level of integration of asynchronous, synchronous and face to face activities is fundamental for this age group.
