Abstract
The conference was one of the outputs of the ELDEL project and became a meeting place for experts dealing with problems of literacy and literacy development around the world. This has been achieved mainly due to the participation of distinguished scientists as the main speakers, independent of the project.
We would like to especially mention Professor Charles Perfetti - Professor and Director of the Research Center of the Development of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, Brett Kessler - Associate Professor from the Department of Neuropsychology and Linguistics at the University of Washington in St. Louis or Professor Mark Seidenberg of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
