Swimming technique is an important factor in swimming performance. Monitoring techniques and its evaluation is an essential diagnostic didactic activities pedagogical activity in the training process coach sports swimming.
The effectiveness of swimming techniques is assessed by the length of the stroke in relation to swimming speed and stroke frequency. The paper presents the results of the determination of selected parameters of locomotion in female swimmers aged 12-18 years.
Survey results indicate a link between the value of performance and the age and speed of movement, further less conditionality in relation to length of swimming stroke and frequency as separate parameters. Identification of high value for example as only one factor which is near or even above average top performance, not provide an overall higher rate of swimming speed, this means the higher performance of female swimmers.
However, the optimal link parameters of swimmer locomotion as is the length of the swimming stroke, the frequency and swimming speed, will allow the swimmers a valuable performance output. If we compare the technical output of the top female swimmers with the female swimmers of youth category and of junior category they are at the level of 75% - 80% and 80% - 90% of maximal technical output of top female swimmers.
