The paper deals with problems of the scientific work in the conditions of the Czechoslovak military health service during the sixties of the 20th century. The author pays attention to the main performance of science -both institutions and personalities- and tries to record the main fields and directions of the scientific work, including acquired results and assets.
He demonstrates how the state and political leadership influenced the scientific work through the state research plans. The paper partially evocates the atmosphere of social relaxation and hopes, which were accompanied by establishment of new international scientific and research contacts.
