Abstract
Paper describes beginning of the remote sensing in the former Czechoslovakia. Main projects of that period of time including international cooperation are presented.
Goals and objectives of the projects are given together with ways of their implementations. The core research institutions and organisation involved are named as well as leading persons and professionals in this field in the seventies and eighties of the last century.
