Even after twenty years from the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, (UN, 1991), children with intellectual disabilities remain in the Czech Republic particularly vulnerable to abuse, negative stereotypes, segregation in education, poor quality social services and less access to health care in the Czech Republic. This conclusion comes from a critical analysis of documentation, including the government reports on fulfillment of obligations under the Convention as well as alternative reports from NGOs.
