The aim of the part of the presented reserach was to investigate the problemacity of the foreign language aptitude of the pupils with special learning difficulties at the beginning of the foreign language acquisition at the elementary school. The first task was to find available tests of foreign language aptitude used in the Czech Republic and to evaluate its validity for the pupils in the fourth grade.
The second task was to messure the foreign language aptitude and to identify the deficit language abilities of the pupils with specific learning difficulties as one of the possible causes of the foreign language study difficulties.
