Abstract
Due to the weakness of the last Ramesside kings, decentralisation became a bitter reality for Egypt at the beginning of the first millennium BC. During this time the range of ruling foreigners: Libyans, Kushites, later also Assyrians and Persians became kings of Upper and Lower Egypt.
