Abstract

Heritage education supports not only development of a crosscuricular approach within a school environment, but also cooperation between schools and museums. Case study projects that have been delivered in the Czech Republic (2006-2008) show that Tim Copeland's concept of "education for heritage" might be used in practice.

Pupils' sence of place has been built through community heritage care. Moreover, the concept reveals to be successful in both teachers'training and education for sustainable development.
