Abstract
The subject Anthropology of Civil society has been introduced as an academic discipline by H. K.
Anheier and his colleagues from the Centre for Civil Society London School of Economics. They inspired the founding of the The Department of Civic Sector Studies at Faculty of Humanities, Charles University, Prague.We are grateful to those organizations of civil society thanks to them many alternative social, health and educational services have been established.
