The Calé, the Caló and the gitanismos used in Spanish: results of a recent sociolinguistic investigation

Abstrakt

The article deals with the specific language of the Spanish Gypsies and its lexical influence in peninsular Spanish. The results of a sociolinguistic investigation about this influence are exposed in the article.

The used methods of investigation are also described.
