Abstract
The chapter aims to describe the religious culture in the Habsburg monarchy in the 19th century trying to put the life of Alois Adlof (1861-1927) in the historical context. This pastor of the Free Reformed Church in Prague had came from the Catholic enviroment but as a child converted to evangelical movement.
