Geological peculiarities of the Ore mountains foothills between Perštejn and Litvínov

Abstract

Region of the contact between north part of the Czech basin and the intrusive block of the Ore mountains was mapped in detail and overall judgement was made mainly fromthe point of risks and complications for coal mining in open quarries. Mapping revealed many geologic exceptions and oddities.
