Abstract
A country chapter on the Czech Republic in the book issuing from the comparative cross-country research project "Roles and Visions of Foundations in Europe". After a discussion of the history and present situation of non-profit foundations in the Czech Republic the author summarizes his findings about role expectations and social visions held by Czech foundation representatives and policy makers.
