Abstract
Geological map of Turnov displays the setting of the area, where Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Permo-Carboniferous volcanosedimentary infill of the Krkonoše Piedmont Basin and Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline complex meet together. The Neogene is represented by Miocene to Pliocene sedimentary and mafic alkaline volcanic rocks.
Quaternary consists of fluvial, colluvial and eolian deposits.
