Bone cement as a cytostatic drug carrier - possibilities of use, experiments in vitro

Abstract

Using the bone cement as a carrier of methotrexate is a possibility of secondary bone tumours local treatment. this method recovers biomechanical properties of bone and provides local chemotherapeutic effect. The aim of the present project was to describe influence of methotrexate released in vitro. from polymethylmetarylate (bone cement).
