Abstract

Evidence-based education is a new orientation in West European and American pedagogy that was inspired by the similar approaches in medicine. The basic idea is easy: to form synthesis of existing empirical research and use it to deduce recommendation for school practice.

The use of evidence-based education in primary education is illustrated with meta-analyses for Campbell Collaboration. Meta-analyses examined the influence of parents' effort, devoted to their children at home and to support them in activities, to school results of children.
