Abstract

Induction of mild therapeutic hypothermia after return of spontaneous circulation improves prognosis of cardiac arrest survivors. The use of therapeutic hypothermia after return of spontaneous circulation after cardiopulmonary resuscitation has moved from the in-hospital setting into the pre-hospital environment.

Based on results of studies and own experience in using the method, the authors suggest consensual statement for pre-hospital care.
