Contemporary Czech Poetry in the Context of Cultural and Political Development

Abstract

The text brings a brief overview of the main streams and personalities of the Czech Poetry since the 1920s, with an emphasis on the two last decades of the 20th century. A special attention has been given to the political aspects (the poetry of dissent during the communist regime) and the gender aspect.
