Education of the Priests and Their Activities at the Turn of 18th and 19th Centuries

Abstract

The paper informs about the changes in education of clergy in the Hapsbourg monarchy in 18th and 19th centuries, that include establishment of the so called pastoral theology as a theological discipline. Activities of priests, educated in this way, constituded an important source of popular religious attitudes.
