Abstract

Depressive disorder is one of the most common mental disorders. The majority of depressive patients are treated by non psychiatrists because of high prevalence in general population.

Depressive disorder is serious life threatening illness. 15% of the patients with depressive disorder commit suicide. Appropriate diagnosis and early treatment means very effective help to patients.

The effective care comprises pharmacotherapy, supportive and systematic psychotherapy, psychoeducation and rehabilitation.
