MIAC syndrome (malnutrition, inflammation, atherosclerosis, calcification)

Abstrakt

Recently, MIAC syndrome was described, which supposes to cause higher risk of mortality and progression of cardiovascular disease together with mortality in hemodialysis patients. This article reviews the current knowledge about pathophysiological mechanism, detection and treatment options of this syndrome.
