Abstract

In the cultural realm, relations between Prague and Nuremburg in the 16th century were dominated by contacts in the fields of education and book culture or typography. Book imports played an important role for Bohemia.

Nuremburg printers contributed to the printing of Czech books abroad. Nuremburg played an important role in printing the works of Jan Hus for the Czech market, the result of the interest of the newly formed Lutheran faith in his writings.
