Abstract

In an animal model of Huntington's disease, the neurodegenerative process in the striatum initiates intensive cell proliferation and differentiation resulting in characteristic enlargement of the SEZ in damaged hemisphere. The important changes in neurogenic niche, based on immunoflurescence detection mainly of the sequence of glial intermediate filaments, are described.
