The Decree of Kutná Hora (1409) in the context of the era between the founding of the University of Prague in 1348 and the Peace of Augsburg: some introductory remarks

Set within a wider Central European context, this paper discusses the evolution of the historical interpretation of the disputes at the University in Prague and the impact of King Wenceslas IV.'s intervention into the autonomous academic sphere in 1409.
