The Collective Memory of Members of the Czechoslovak People's Army Dismissed as Part of the Process of 'Normalization'

Abstract
This essay aims to describe the phenomenon of collective memory on the part of former members of the Czechoslovak People's Army in relation to events of the 'Prague Spring' and the directly ensuing period of 'Normalization'. The topic is considered via interview conducted using the method of oral history, as well as writen testimonies of direct participants in the events being investigated.
