Abstract
How are the existence and the life of the church connected with Christ? This question is answered by the presented article in which the subject of christological establishment of church in H. U. von Balthasar's theological works is deeply examined.
Gradually, the reflection will be given on three fields of his works. Firstly, his purpose concentrates on the exploration how the church as Communio catholica specializes in a framework of time, secondly in so-called dramatic soteriology, then follows the visible, sacramental Church structure as a main issue.
