The paper analyzes how the extreme right acitivists reflect the current issues of social and economic insecurity as well as budget austerity measures. It covers both the official rhetoric of extreme right movements, where it tracks the use of social, economic and other topics that have the potential to mobilize the public, as well as the unofficial discourse expressed during personal interviews with the author during the course of research.
The text compares the rhetoric, goals and strategies of the right-wing extremist movements at the time right before the start of the economic crisis in 2008 and in the present. It concludes with the discussion on the risks of mobilization of the wider public towards support of extremist organizations due to economic, social and other factors currently prevalent in Czech society
