Abstract
The adoption of the European Directive on mediation in civil and commercial matters and the implementation of its obligations to mediation as a method of alternative dispute resolution to the forefront the interests of legislators and experts. The article presents comments on the planned legislation in the Czech Republic and acquainted with similar rules in other European countries.
