Abstract
In her article, the author discusses a new bill on victims of criminal acts, which was presented to the government in the autumn of 2011 and will probably come in operation as of January,1, 2013. The article is dedicated to the reasons, which lead the state to providing compensation to victim, and to whether or not the new bill on criminal act victims is needed.
The author also focuses her attention on individual parts of the new bill on criminal act victims from general stipulations to the rights to information, protection against impending danger, right to privacy protection, right to protection against secondary harm, rights to fiancila help and subjects providing help.
