Treatment of septic patients in intensive cardiac care - an evidence based medicine approach

Abstract

Sepsis is the leading cause of mortality in noncoronary intensive care units, but it frequently occurs in intensive cardiac care units as well. This review article summarizes and comments on the Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines.
